A bite is a link, not a copy

BitePods makes a link to a moment in a podcast or video that someone else published. It doesn't download, copy, convert or host audio: a clip plays from the publisher's own file, in your browser, and the link you share carries the publisher's own address.

Using it

You choose what to clip and where to send it, and you're responsible for both. A clip is for pointing people at an episode, the way a link to a page quotes the page. It is not for passing someone else's work off as your own.

If it's your show

Nothing of yours is stored here. A BitePods link is your own URL with two numbers attached, and every play goes to your file on your host and counts for you. If you have a concern about how your show appears, get in touch and we'll sort it out.

What we can't promise

BitePods is free and provided as it is. It may change or stop. A clip depends on the publisher keeping their file where it was; if the file moves or goes away, the clip stops playing, and there is nothing here that can bring it back. Directories and players belong to other people, and what they answer is theirs to change.
